Katherine and I decided to rent bicycles in Hualien, and cycle all the way down to Taitung. While it's not the longest bike trip ever, it was raining almost the entire time, and quite cold since it was January! Overall though, it was a very unique experience, and a great way to see the East Coast of Taiwan. Highly recommended! Although maybe choose a time in the spring when it's less rainy and warmer :)
